Greenfield Board of Assessors approves excise abatements and educational outreach. Board Chair Jim Geisman and Members Chuck Green and Jeremy Ebersole unanimously approved motor vehicle excise abatements from January 7-21, 2026. Chief Assessor Christina Summers reported strong attendance at the January 13 Citizens Academy presentation and emphasized public education on market-value assessment.

The board plans additional workshops for commercial and residential property owners, though a January 14 session through Greenfield Community College experienced technical difficulties and was not recorded. Permit-entry software remains uninstalled pending IT Department installation.
