Board of Assessors approves spring abatement applications

GREENFIELD — Board of Assessors approves spring motor vehicle excise abatements. Board Chair Jim Geisman, with Members Chuck Green and Jeremy Ebersole present, approved motor vehicle excise abatements for April 1 through April 15, 2026, in a unanimous vote. Chief Assessor Christina Summers reported that final abatement applications have been processed with state reimbursement figures expected to exceed prior years.
Assistant Assessor Evan Gregg continues database cleanup work and is compiling a list of Limited Liability Corporation property owners in Greenfield, with the Finance Department also accepting FY 2027 revaluation assistance proposals.
