Greenfield Conservation Commission approves hazard-tree policy and accepts $4,190 for meadow restoration. Conservation Agent Jessica Siegel received unanimous approval for administrative authority to approve removal of up to five trees within jurisdictional resource areas posing safety threats, streamlining the commission's emergency-response process. The board also voted unanimously to accept a $4,190 donation from Franklin Conservation District for ecological restoration at Millers Meadow, funding supervision, project management, youth stipends, and seed planting after the MVP Grant expires June 30, 2026.
Discussion of updating the expiring Griswold Conservation Area forest management plan was deferred to March 10 to allow full participation by member Emily Boss.
