Greenfield Conservation Commission ratifies tank repair, approves conservation fund. The Conservation Commission unanimously ratified an emergency certificate for a mobile station tank repair at 142 Mohawk Trail, where an underground diesel tank failed a tightness test; contractor Christopher Horan found no diesel released and field screening showed no contamination. The commission also unanimously approved conditional acceptance of a $20,000 Community Preservation Act award to establish a conservation fund, subject to City Council approval and adoption of a Conservation Restriction on any property acquired with the funds.

The commission discussed bank erosion at Green River Conservation Area and progress on updating the Griswold Forest Management Plan.
