Greenfield Cultural District Committee narrows $15,000 grant focus to downtown infrastructure projects. Chairperson Caitlin von Schmidt and members including Sara Robberson, Michael Lentz, and Hannah Rechtschaffen discussed two approaches to the Massachusetts Cultural Council grant due by June 30: funding a single large project or offering smaller grants. After hearing concerns about using public funds for private property and the high costs of large events, members shifted focus to permanent infrastructure, particularly outdoor bulletin boards and an electrical power upgrade on the Town Common.
