GREENFIELD — Planning Board votes to ease downtown housing restrictions. The board voted unanimously to initiate zoning amendments to Section 200-5.3(A) and Section 200-6.2(E), following Director Ella Wise's recommendation. The changes allow single-family, two-family, and three-family dwelling units in LC, GC, O, and GI districts to comply with RA district requirements, aligning with the city's recent 80-foot height increase for the Central Commercial district.
The amendments would enable redevelopment of the Hope Street lot with multifamily buildings greater than 35 feet, subject to special permit review with the Zoning Board of Appeals.
