Other Committee · Meeting of June 3, 2026

Greenfield Board of Assessors backs software fixes and advances rental registry coordination. The three-member board, Chair Chuck Green, Jim Geisman, and Jeremy Ebersole, voted unanimously June 3 to enter executive session and, during open session, signaled collective support for two technology investments: continued use of an outside Munis billing contractor at an estimated cost of roughly $500 to $1,000 per engagement, and a $6,000 RRC bridge license to stabilize personal-property uploads tied to roughly $203,000 in annual tax revenue. The principal assessor warned that the city's current third-party data bridge is outside city control and represents "a crisis waiting to happen." Greenfield's mayor joined the meeting to express support, saying the city backs "anything that will help generate more revenue faster." Geisman also proposed a formal recommendation requiring elected and appointed officials to sign property record cards under penalty of perjury, with a vote planned at the next meeting and submission to the Assessors' Notification Office targeted for July.
