Greenfield Schools Facilities Manager Warns Newton Street School Needs Most Urgent Attention

Greenfield's Long-Term Facilities Advisory Committee heard a district-wide building conditions report and set a July recruitment deadline for new community members. Federal Street School's front parking lot, once budgeted at $75,000, would now cost $300,000 to $310,000 to repave, and Four Corners School carries unresolved ADA compliance work estimated at up to $100,000 once an engineering study and bidding process are complete. Boudreau recommended extending the district's capital plan to a 15-year horizon, using roughly $200,000 per year as a planning benchmark, and noted Newton Street sits at the top of the mechanical priority list.
