Banks Were Sellers In Most Of September's Greenfield Property Transfers

Nine property deeds were recorded in Greenfield between Sept. 4 and Oct. 3, but only one so far carries a sale price in registry data: a $60,000 transfer to Greenfield Savings Bank, with no street address listed. The other eight transfers, on streets including Mohawk Trail, Hope Street (two sales), Newton Street, Cedar Street, Water Street, Homestead Avenue and Lovers Lane, show price not yet available, typical of the registry's data lag. Banks or mortgage-servicing companies, including Rocket Mortgage, PNC Bank, Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems and Greenfield Cooperative Bank, were listed as sellers in seven of the nine transactions. With most prices still pending, the period's overall market tone cannot yet be determined from available data.
