Greenfield CPC Loosens Grant Conditions for RDI Housing Project

Greenfield's Community Preservation Committee voted 6-1 to let housing developer RDI access a $150,000 award before construction begins on its 176 Main Street project. The committee also reaffirmed its once-a-year application cycle, rejecting any move toward off-cycle or rolling funding, and set three public outreach sessions at the Greenfield Public Library in May targeting housing (May 13), historical preservation (May 18), and open space and recreation (May 30).

The next meeting is May 28 at 5 p.m. at the John Zon Community Center, where members will review previously allocated but unspent grants and vote on a written policy confirming the annual-cycle rule.
