CPC Approves Scoring Overhaul, Oxbow Housing Switch

Other Committee · Meeting of September 24, 2026

Greenfield's Community Preservation Committee unanimously reworked its grant scoring rubric and approved a housing-project change. The seven-member committee voted 7-0 to shift five points from a "CPA eligibility" category into "community support and partnerships" in its 100-point scoring system, and separately voted 7-0 to let Oxbow Designs convert planned rentals at 187 Hope Street into two deed-restricted homeownership units under a Valley Land Trust model. Staff member Anna told the board the $24,000 committee subsidy is "a ton of money in the real world and almost nothing in housing development." Members also finalized revised grant application and budget forms ahead of a December 9 deadline for 19 pending pre-applications, and scheduled a December 17 meeting to handle project closeouts before review meetings resume in January 2027.
