Cultural District Panel Approves Postcard Reprint
Other Committee · Meeting of September 3, 2026
Greenfield's Crossroads Cultural District Committee votes to print new tourism postcards after a successful pilot pie potluck. Committee members heard a debrief from organizer Sarah, who said roughly 30 percent of attendees at the pop-up event at Fisk Avenue Pocket Park wandered in off the street, including a Princeton, New Jersey couple who rerouted their Vermont road trip after finding the listing on Visit Greenfield's website. The panel voted unanimously to spend about $200 printing 500 tourist-facing Visit Greenfield postcards and 250 instructional postcards for the Greenfield Business Association to hand out to local businesses.
Members reported a marketing account balance of $2,931 after this year's grantee payouts and discussed narrowing next year's roughly $15,000 grant program into targeted funding "buckets," including pocket-park activation and directional signage, after this year's open call functioned too much like a duplicate of the Local Cultural Council.
