Cultural Council Closes Out Lapsed $750 Arts Grant
Other Committee · Meeting of September 2, 2026
Greenfield Cultural Council forfeits a lapsed $750 arts grant and opens its fiscal 2027 cycle with $20,075 to give away. Staff liaison Susan told members the Silverthorne Theater Company never claimed its award despite five follow-up emails, so the council is treating that application as closed; the Fanfare Brass Company, owed $300 for a patriotic concert, has until October 15 to request funds or a formal extension. Council member Tim Fisk, whose term ends December 31, floated exploring tax-deductible fundraising, including stock donations, saying "I would love to leave this council knowing that we've done some work on that." The council scheduled fiscal 2027 grant-review meetings for November 7, 9 and 23, canceled its October session, and will elect a new chair, vice chair and secretary in December.
